This beach is not recommended for having a leisurely swim. If you are not experienced with large waves, we recommend a visit just up the road to Waimanalo Beach.

Waimanalo is known for it's clear, blue, serene waters. It is located just a very short drive up the coast from Makapu'u Beach Park


**18. Puu Ualakaa State Park:**

Hike the Puu Ualakaa State Park for panoramic views of Honolulu and Diamond Head.
